On No Kings Day, let's all be frogs. The purpose for a public protest is to communicate with the people not there through visuals. A protest that makes Trump look like an idiot helps fight him. Anyone who fucks with traffic, burns anything etc might as well be a Rethug because that's who they help.

I think I invented this technique. I paint a layer of acrylic and let it dry hard. Then I paint over with a contrasting color. The image is made by using a damp paintbrush to remove the top layer of paint. In this case, the underlayer was random splashes of blue and green.

We also overestimate intelligence in voters and vastly overestimate the importance of policy. Most voters vote emotionally based on a combination of whatever is in their head and how they react to the visual image of the candidate.

This only applies if the property damaged belongs to the target of the protest and even then is likely not a good idea. Setting fires, looting, breaking windows--it's all total bullshit that is not in any way a valid form of protest.
