I hate whoever designed the alignment settings for our office printer. It's not linearly scaled and the results are more lottery than progressive result.

Thinking about Pokemon the other day and I realise, Ash is the trainer equivalent of a womanizer...He goes to regions, trains a bunch of pokemon, then dumps them when he moves on. Like, he has his one true 'mon Pikachu, and all others exist to fill the holes in his...belt. Shame on you Ash Ketchum!

I'm an atheist born into a polytheistic religion. I just read someone pointing out that the Abrahamic god, ie the Jewish, Christian and Islamic god is essentially a Mary Sue. As a fanfiction writer, that's going to keep me up at night.

I do not like Waifu Catalogue fanfics. Even with a very high element of SoD, there's something really skeevy about the whole premise, no matter how many people seem to be doing their best to rehabilitate the whole thing.

Worldbuilding superhero settings is hard. I just spent half an hour typing out a rant on the Google doc explaining why having too many superpowers from the beginning of time till now is a problem. Pretty sure I should not have done it right before sleeping

6. Some of my prime restrictions have to do with the fact that our VFX budget is zero. I know, real shame, but it's amateur hour by amateurs with amateurs. On the other hand, I have to trust that the guys writing the story and then acting it out won't fuck up. It's a delicate balance truly

5. Which is a shame because some of the creatives around me are pretty decent at, you know, creating. And they're pretty mean critics too. Which is usually fun. Flamers can be depressing but if you actually know the guy/gal it's less painful and more...constructive? Or maybe it's just all in my head

4. And it's a lot of stuff. I've even got an unrelated snippet posted. It's great. And only has about 5 hours of work on like three pages. That's like chump change I know, but needs must. As a fanfic author I know just how precious feedback is. And I simply don't have any.

3. Of course I could be waiting in vain because the man is juggling like 5 gigs at once, including 2 of his own businesses. Good guy that one. Too busy to actually do anything, but good guy nonetheless. On the other hand I may be going mad as the lack of feedback means I'm adding stuff and stuff

2. I've also dumped a bunch of supplementary stuff into the second doc so that the storyboard guys can have something to look at when they make their character development and backstories. I've just added a bunch of superpowers into the hat while my colleague decides the exact limitations we have

I'm serving as a part time world builder for a local community movie making project we have going on in our city. So far I've littered our Google doc with comments, complaints and a lot of speculation. The idea has to do with superheroes so there was a lot of opportunity to flex my fanfic skills.

Anyone ever wonder if the whole no attachment thing for jedi was just so the old masters could go out, play around and be like "I'm sorry my dear, my code forbids attachment so we can't be together" and just walk off back to the temple. Aka jedi code=one night stands without serious relationships

Best way to find prices for stuff from way back when is newspaper ads. Google thing year ad and you'll find quickly find a paper ad with prices. That's valuable knowledge for period prices. Whether fanfic or original content, figuring out money spent for stuff is more than just inflation calculators

We're all in a world war, except that nobody seems to be calling it that. The planet is just full of tiny spots of all out warfare and mass civilian murder and it's just business as usual everywhere else. Hell, some of the elsewhere places are invested in those wars.
