The play will perform at Belgrade Theatre and Sheffield Theatres, with additional tour dates to be announced.

It is a co-production with Paines Plough, Belgrade Theatre, Sheffield Theatres, and the Women’s Prize for Playwriting.

This exceptionally funny and deeply moving play won the Prize in 2022, chosen unanimously by our judging panel (Arifa Akbar, Mel Kenyon, Lucy Kirkwood, Winsome Pinnock, Indhu Rubasingham, Jenny Sealey, Nina Steiger, Nicola Walker, Jodie Whittaker).

Once we've got your script, we'll assign it to our panel of expert readers. The readers & Prize team will determine a longlist, which will be announced in October. Then, a shortlist will be sent to our judging panel & a winner will be announced in December.

The prize is open to writers who are female or non-binary, age 16 or older, and resident in the UK or the Republic of Ireland.

Submitted scripts may be co-written, any cast size, and any genre and style, except musicals.
