This international #surrogacy arrangement in America ended in a 4 year adoption court case in the UK. Why?
Because the man who was the genetic father and sole commissioning parent deceived the surrogate mother and had the child moved across borders.

We do not welcome womb transplants as a way to reduce surrogacy pregnancies in the UK as we don’t support women’s bodies being reduced to a collection of useful body parts.

Surrogacy carries an increased risk and the impact on families must not be underestimated.
We think of Mrs A who “remained in a coma for a fortnight after the birth.”
We think of her and her family and hope she has regained some cognitive function since the court ruling.

#surrogacy is not a Gay Rights issue. There is no human right to become a parent and we are proud that UK adoption law doesn’t discriminate against lesbians and gay men. Gay men tell us they do not support it as a “pathway to parenthood” in modern society and they do not want it done in their name.
