5 raccoons in a trench coat. 🍞🌹Left of liberal. Everything wasn’t better under the Democrats & they’re part of how we got here. Black lives still matter, trans rights are human rights, COVID isn’t “over,” healthcare, food & housing are moral imperatives.
Would this count?

I have a certain core memory related to that illustration…

They’re going to try to pretend that the masked goons crossing lines were all hired contractors who’ve been let go. Or if they were staff they were just given new training. That the rabid dog we watched wreck havoc is fine once there’s a new leash. Don’t fall for it. #chingalamigra #fuckICE

Well, we finally found a futile gesture worse than writing a stern letter. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Some of us spent 2024 talking about this. The chickens have now come home to roost.

Absolutely be critical of big money/gifts MAGA takes, especially when it comes to how their decisions might be swayed by them. But remember the GOP aren’t the only politicians who are open to influence. If your critical analysis has a blind spot for people you like? That’s a problem. And hypocrisy.

If this was happening in what used to be a normal political environment, it would be one thing. That it’s happening at a time where we’re seeing the rise of authoritarianism and warning signs of fascism here is another matter. You can either be more interested in maintaining a status quo within 🧵/1

Depressed. But not surprised. That man is an impediment to democracy and civilization.

What did this accomplish? There was no real follow through. Within a year, Biden was slamming #defundthepolice bragging about increasing funds. Dems turned their backs on BLM carrying water for MAGA anti “woke” talking points. But they did a gesture that made white NPR listeners feel good.

Stop idolizing this woman. She’s worked to actively oppose progress time & again, literally profiting off upholding unpopular status quos. She’s half the reason we got the ACA instead of #universalhealthcare. She could’ve championed the #GreenNewDeal but openly mocked it. Get a better profile pic.

It’s sad how we almost had something grim but hilarious happen at CPAC.

This’s bad

When they’re more interested in courting Cheney supporters & white women who voted for Trump but want legal abortion; than pro 🇵🇸 protesters, BLM activists, and people who want universal healthcare & a livable minimum wage…
February 19, 2025 at 2:59 PM
Now’s a great time to remember in 2016 Dems threw a 💩fit because people dared to ask the party to *do things.* The outrage at people having the gall to treat voting as transactional, instead of something you did because you were a “good person” was real.

Because they never really changed.

Ok. Epidemiologists have been telling us for years #COVIDisntover That being vaccinated will keep you from dying, but won’t stop you from getting disabled by #LongCOVID That socioeconomic inequality shortens lifespans & causes Americans to die preventable deaths. That black lives are shortened /1

Hey kids, see if you can spot what’s different in these two pictures!

It’s worth noting that a bit of USAID spending goes to American farmers who grow food they send to countries in need. So American farmers aren’t going to get paid. While we starve people, including kids. Who we apparently have to protect or something? Maybe it’s ok if they’re foreign kids? 😒🤬

In the event there’s a commercial about this tonight… #USAID gets 0.65% of the federal budget. That’s not even a whole percentage point btw. Last year we spent 4.6% on education here, just over 12% on defense spending, & just under 2% on farm subsidies.

It’s surreal to see them continue to double down on positions that are so out of touch, they don’t just alienate a lot of the general population but huge swaths of their base as well. 2016 should’ve been the lesson learned, but they ran to “but Russia” instead. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Within 4 years abortion rights will be added to this list. Within 8, gay marriage & even having Pride parades. These people helped conservatives shift the narrative on #defundthepolice after 2020. In their pursuit of the #radicalcenter they’ll be willing to sacrifice something you care about. Or you
