Riichi mahjong players would have you believe this is an efficient way of scoring mahjong hands.
I play this game a lot, and I still had to stare at the instructions for a solid 20 minutes.

Reading through "Color and Light" by James Gurney.
As someone who learned a lot of music theory playing piano as a kid, but ultimately decided to start learning to draw instead of get good at music, this line fucked me up a bit, because I also don't know how to apply color theory...
