like frankly people should be having arguments about what place a critic's personal sense of morality has in criticism. they probably always will have these arguments.

i did read it, and the artistic criticism of it was unconvincing, and raised questions that weren't really addressed by the writer. that's not the point though. the point is that this is not a new debate, and I think it's silly to mock people for participating in a very old debate about critique

the rejection of art based on ethical or moral grounds about its production details, or other external factors is contentious even in "serious" criticism. i do not think this is something caused by the stupidity of "gamers".
