we don't talk enough abt the fact that when jacob asked "are we best friends sam?" instead of just saying "yeah we are" sam answered "yeah YOU'RE my best friend". the way he didn't presume himself to be jacob's bff but did not hesitate to confirm his devotion from his pov is sth so endearing to me
