Wolfson is delighted to welcome Tom Simpson to College as our newest Governing Body Fellow. Tom is the Alfred Landecker Professor of Values and Public Policy @blavatnikschool.bsky.social where he is also the Co-Chair of Executive Programmes and directs the Military Leadership and Judgment Programme.

Today we gathered in the South Car Park to mark the ‘groundbreaking’ for the new Garden Building. Construction works will commence on Monday, 11th August.⁠ Sir Tim Hitchens marked the occasion by reiterating the College’s long-term goal to provide more on-site accommodation for our students.

Congratulations to GB Fellow Professor Frances Gardner on her recognition in the King's Birthday Honours! Prof. Gardner has been appointed as a Companion of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George (CMG), in recognition of her services to reducing violence against children.

Tomorrow - Thursday - evening, 6-7pm in the Levett Room, Wolfson RF Nicole Votruba and AfOx Scholar Sarah Mlambo will be sharing insights into their work on women's mental health in Africa and Asia, and into Oxford-Africa collaborations.

Wolfson M1 are Head of the River! After an incredible week of Summer Eights, the whole Wolfson Boat Club put on a classy display of strategy, stamina and skill, with M1 bumping Oriel on the last day to take Headship.

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor Wolfson is offering a fully-funded DPhil scholarship in Experimental Psychology, from Oct 2025, augmenting Wolfson’s strength in this field. As a graduate college and the home of the Watts Professorship, Wolfson is the ideal college for this course.

Congratulations to Wolfson JRF Pek Kei (Becky) Im for her inclusion in the @ox.ac.uk Vice-Chancellor's Awards shortlist! She is nominated in the 'Breakthrough Researcher' category for her research into the scope, biological mechanisms, and burden of alcohol-related impacts in diverse populations.

A misty sunrise walk for one Wolfson student at the weekend was rewarded with this most thrilling of sights.

A huge week for Wolfson with historic results in Torpids 2024/25. Wolfson's M1 crew are Head of the River for the first time in the club's history, with the M2 crew bumping each day to win blades and M2 headship! Fantastic results for the women's crews too - congratulations to all those involved!

On Friday we hosted the launch of the Centre for Global Epilepsy, the world’s first centre dedicated to empowering global epilepsy research and care. Based at Wolfson, and generously supported by the BAND Foundation, @cgepilepsy.bsky.social will address the global burden of epilepsy.
