Don't mind me. I'm just here for the ride.
(Pt.5) It's not a perfect game. I don't like all of the bosses, and boss weaknesses aren't made that clear and aren't very obvious, but I can overlook that stuff. This is still a solid game. If you've been avoiding this one because of the Mighty No. 9 stuff, I say give it a chance.

(Pt.4) -electric powers to use instead like in his games. There are also other characters to play as including Copen, Ray, and characters from Gal Gun, but I haven't played as them yet. I also love how the main villain of the game is Teseo from Gunvolt 2. He's a shit bag and that's why he's great.

(Pt.3) -go in a wave pattern, or just act normal. There's also customization that increases attack power, increases or decreases the speed and size, and in Beck's case, add an element to your attack so you can exploit boss weaknesses. Gunvolt can't exploit boss weaknesses, but he has different-

(Pt.2) This kinda feels like redemption for Mighty No. 9 since Mighty No. 9 was such a disappointment (though I never played the game so I don't have the full picture). There's this neat customization mode where you get to customize your loadout. Bullet types, trajectory whether the bullets reflect-

(Replay)(Pt.1) Mighty Gunvolt Burst is a 8 bit crossover between Gunvolt and Mighty No. 9 that plays like a classic Megaman and it's pretty good. The game is mainly based around the levels found in the latter game with the general gameplay, stage themes and boss lineup being the same.

(Rewatch) Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade as of right now, is my favorite movie of all time. I love the story, the characters, the action scenes, the jokes, all of it. Keeping things short with this one. Fitting for my last update to this year's media thread. See you in 2026.

(Replay?) Hades 2 is great. It was great when it was still in beta, and it's even better now. The gameplay is great, the characters are great, and the new edition of the surface world is great. I've beaten Chronos twice at the time of writing this. I think this is better than the first game.

(Pt.4) I'd recommend this game to anyone looking for a new Donkey Kong Country style game.
December 31, 2025 at 9:44 PM
(Pt.3) The titular Impossible Lair can be accessed at any time, but you'll want to play the other levels since the other levels reward you with hit points to be used in the impossible lair, which you'll want because there are no checkpoints in the impossible lair. It's a pretty cool concept.
December 31, 2025 at 9:44 PM
(Pt.2) -the levels in some way or form. A few are kinda duds, but most of them are great. The 2d Zelda overworld is pretty fun, and I liked finding out how to access every level's second version. Plus, while I haven't actually beaten it yet, the final level is pretty neat.

(Pt.1) Yooka Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a pretty solid game. It combines Donkey Kong Country style levels and a 2d Zelda overworld and it works pretty well. The levels themselves are pretty fun and they all have alternate versions that you unlock by messing with the environment surrounding-

Just a heads up this is a part of a series of games that I played this year, but didn't cover for one reason or another. Anyway, Splatoon 1. After playing it, I can say that the sequel is just this game but with more and it's better. At least the first game has the superior final boss.

(Pt.6) -perspective on the events of Terminator 2. Overall, a really great movie. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.
December 31, 2025 at 2:20 AM
(Pt.5) Speaking of which, let's talk about Dyson. He's an interesting character as, while he is the creator of Skynet, he's not a bad guy. Hell, when he learns about what Skynet does, he helps the heroes put a stop to it, even giving his life to do so. I'd honestly like a story that focuses on his-

(Pt.4) -around them. Plus, it's cool to have a Terminator that is on the heroes side. The way Sarah Connor was affected by the events of the first movie makes sense. She goes a bit crazy trying to put a stop to the rise of Skynet. She even tries to kill the original creator of Skynet.

(Pt.3) -go. Props to the special effects that went into making the T-1000. It looks impressive today. But the T-1000 isn't the only star of the show. There's also John Connor and the OG Terminator. They have a great dynamic and the idea of a Terminator adapting to human behaviors by spending time-

(Pt.2) The new terminator, the T-1000, is made with a liquid metal, and it is cool as fuck. There were multiple points in the movie where I said "He can do that?!" He can do stuff like, transform into other people, turn into other objects, pass through stuff with gaps in it, and form blades on the-

(Pt.1) Terminator 2. Talk about a sequel that improved on everything from the original. The base premise is overall the same as the first movie but with a few twists. This time, John Connor himself is the target, and the guardian this time is a reprogrammed version of the original model.
December 31, 2025 at 2:20 AM
(Pt.3) -more interesting character. He has one hell of a journey. The gameplay is pretty fun. It being an action RPG, it has some nice integration of physical and magic attacks and some rooms needing you to use some special movement to get through. Every character is fun to play as, but I do like-
December 30, 2025 at 11:31 PM
(Pt.2) -served as the final dungeon in the first game. It's a great setting with some new area variety to make it a more interesting dungeon. The story is pretty good. Yunica is a likeable character with a good arc and a neat connection with the goddesses you're looking for, but Hugo is by far the-

(Pt.1) Ys Origin is a prequel to the whole Ys series, but more specifically it's a prequel to the first 2 Ys games. It's great. Definitely my favorite Ys game so far. You play as either Yunica Tovah or Hugo Fact (there's also an unlockable third character) and you're climbing up the tower that-

(Pt.6) One thing I forgot to mention. The chapters went by surprisingly fast. Maybe it's because of how much time I spent on the other games per day, maybe it's because I've gotten more used to the pacing in an Ace Attorney game, or maybe the other two games are genuinely longer, I don't know.
December 24, 2025 at 5:05 PM
(Pt.5) -what I'm talking about. Again, this is a good game, but better if you don't know what's gonna happen. Seriously. I shot myself in the foot watching the anime first.
December 24, 2025 at 4:29 AM
(Pt.4) -one off mechanic called "reactions" where a character will say something and some of the words will be purple and you'll get some dialogue on that subject. That feels like a leftover mechanic from when this game was going to be very different. Look up "Danganronpa Distrust" to understand-
December 24, 2025 at 4:29 AM
(Pt.3) -without consent. Also, bullet time battle sucks, and there are multiple occasions where it could've just been a nonstop debate instead. I get the feeling these many accounts of bullet time were replaced with duel reasoning. At least the nonstop debates are solid. Also, there's this weird-
