Kashmir aligned with India bc of Jammu, a Hindu. The country is overwhelmingly Muslim, and I’m not sure that the current alignment makes sense for Kashmir, considering India’s strong anti-Muslim sentiment. Kashmir should do what is right for them, independent state, or alignment of their choosing.

Let me rephrase, we coexisted while resenting our Mogul Muslim masters. The British used that deep-rooted resentment to divide Indians of both faiths.

Current treatment of Muslims under the Modhi regime, I find reprehensible. Kashmir should be its own state, I’m anti-BJP/Hindusattvah, wished Gandhi’s vision of India would have come to light, and Jinnah would have been PM. But, here we are, and I don’t think Modhi is the right person to lead in

Yep, the Muslim League. I thought there was no other choice but to separate, considering how badly the British exploited our histories against one another? Didn’t Jinnah say, had Muslims remained, there would have been communal trouble? In the end, Mountbatten still screwed both India & Pakistan.
