First rose blooms of 2025 in my Lewes UK garden and the temperatures are rising. No wonder the blackbirds are singing their song.

Tulips are on my mind. This year’s variety, one of my favourites from the Netherlands. This tasteful parrot looks perfect on this perfect day here in my Lewes garden. Next year a different colour, of course.

On my way home after resplendent, intensely beautiful and focused performance of Mahler’s epic 9th symphony at London’s Royal Festival Hall with the Philharmonia Orchestra memorably conducted by the extraordinary 97 year old Herbert Blomstedt. Truly historic!

I’m new here - new and hopeful - we need some blue skies and I’m up for this site for the breath of fresh air we could get up here away from the growing odours that are emitting from some of the other places, I’m here for a chat, a laugh and a hug and some sensible talk too.
