Oh they aren’t even telling you you don’t have to work. They are just saying you don’t have to return to the office in person. So your perk for deferred resignation is to remain on remote work and have a job for 8 months. If you don’t do it there’s no guarantee you’ll even have a job.

@pbsnews.bsky.social you fail at comprehension. There is nothing in our email about a severance. It’s only a guarantee that we can continue working until September 30. We also don’t have to come into the office during this time. If we don’t accept there’s no guarantee we’ll have a job.
