This morning, I woke up grateful until I saw the air quality: unhealthy 176. Frustrated, I sat with my emotions, noticing heaviness in my legs and unease in my stomach. Self-compassion isn’t avoiding discomfort, it’s facing it with kindness.

My wife is from LA, many of our friends have been deeply affected. Our hearts go out to everyone who has lost their homes, and to the loved ones mourning those who have tragically passed. A heartfelt thank you to the heroic firefighters and all those supporting a community in shock.
