Singing "Dies Irae" from Verdi's requiem, with Scientifiques en Rebellion @scientifiquesenrebellion.fr and the fantastic Orchestre de Nouveau Monde orchestredunouveaumonde.fr was a perfect way to take notion of government and private sector inaction during the 10 years since the Paris Agreement.

I recommended reading this book after having seen a near-final draft and I have now read it again.

Fernando's account is a fantastic achievement and highly recommended reading for anyone who wants to understand why so many scientists now leave their labs and join the protests for a better future.

While we must all be concerned about the "Critically insufficient" rating of one country - we should not forget that the EU is currently rated, by the meticulous analysis of @climateactiontracker.org , as "insufficient" as well.

Both policies and attitudes must change here as well.

I think you completely misunderstand, Jon. SNCF is very friendly - just look at the e-mail I received here. They clearly want to resolve the real problems of my travel experience.

Not that I was surprised to see the poor state of one of Germany's last glaciers today - but I did not know they were offering guided tours to it.

Some ecosystems face higher immediate risks from current warming than others, including virtually all coastal ecosystems, but also seagrass meadows, seaweeds and fish.

Despite all efforts, there is an unavoidable bias in any such assessment, due to insufficient resources for monitoring and risk assessment in the South and East of the Med. Basin.

(one more quote) "The Gospel presents Joseph as a just man, hard-working and strong. But he also shows great tenderness, which is not a mark of the weak but of those who are genuinely strong, fully aware of reality and ready to love and serve in humility." (Pope Francois, Laudato Si')
