Life is too short to be unhappy, so trying to be who I am inside.

Alt account where I can be myself, because I'm stuck working in an extremely right-wing environment.
"Hey, doc, I've always been curious, what color is spinal fluid? Guessing it's clear? Not yellow tinted or milky or something?"
"If someone's spinal fluid is milky, they've got a serious problem."
"Not if you've got a bowl, some cereal, and a sense of adventure."

For anyone interested, it is teriyaki chicken sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken nigiri, served with asparagus with a teriyaki glaze, and a mound of rice. There is dumpling style dipping sauce, as well as sweet and sour dipping sauce.

Thank you. I leave in 45 minutes, and we'll see what they say. One of the many concerns with my heart walls being thickened is will I have to stop taking my narcolepsy medication? If so, not sure how I can hold down a job or enjoy life if I'm falling asleep constantly again. Fingers crossed!

Unfortunately, too many people assume that since they're being sold at a big store, they must be good. Similar to Master Lock and Brinks padlocks. In both cases, they keep things closed in regular function but won't hold up to anyone who really wants in. Just absolute crap all the way down.

Total shit. Can also use a strong magnet, slam them in the right place, drop them, or if I recall correctly, depending on model, have a hardcoded override using the corner numbers. They're a "keep honest people honest" and "maybe satisfy homeowners/renters insurance in case of theft" kind of safe.

That is such a good game. I haven't played it in a while, but should again. Should roll through Soul Blazer and Illusion of Gaia while I'm at it.

And here she is 11 years later, being stupidly cute.

With that, we were determined to bring them inside (even though between my mother and ourselves, we had six cats already - three each, plus we had a dog).

This is Sylvie right after we caught her, hiding under a cabinet. She hisses at anyone that came near, but I was determined to make her feel safe, so I risked it, and shoved my hand under, open palm, laying it in the floor. No biting, no claws, just stared at it a bit, then curled up on it.

This is Stevie and Sylvie, tiny little things. We managed to just scoop Sylvie up and walk inside with her, as she was very personable after spending time with us and food and cat toys. Stevie, on the other hand, nope, trusted none of it. Managed to looney tunes him after four to six hours.

Originally, it was four kittens, momma cat, and the dad, and they started showing up in our yard. Eventually, the dad disappeared (he was in rough shape), and momma seemed like she wanted nothing to do with the kittens anymore. After seeing a coyote one night, only two kittens of the four remained.

I'm also fond of that one. I was flipping through a dictionary that belonged to a friend's grandfather, and pressed in the back were two coupons. One for the good ol' electricity biscuit, and the other had me go, "National Biscuit Company? But that's the logo for Nabisc- ...damn it."
