Meet the real Dervish—perched on my toaster oven, with his latest "junk drawer invention." His feathers have taken on a suspiciously burnt orange hue over time, though I’m sure it has nothing to do with any ill-advised attempts to snatch pepperoni off a pizza before it came out of the oven.
