Der Regenbogenindex zeigt Fortschritte und Rückschritte bei LGBTQ-Rechten in Europa. Während Länder wie Malta und Deutschland Verbesserungen verzeichnen, verschlechtert sich die Situation in Georgien und Ungarn. Österreich verbessert sich auf Platz 16.
Hoffnung trotz anhaltenden Backlashs
Seit Anfang des Monats wird im Zuge des „Pride Month“ mit Veranstaltungen auf die Rechte von LGBTQ-Personen aufmerksam gemacht. Highlight in Österreich war am Samstag die Regenbogenparade in Wien. Dass es in Europa nach wie vor Nachholbedarf bei der Gleichstellung sexueller Minderheiten gibt, zeigt die jährliche Auswertung des Regenbogenindex. Es gibt aber auch positive Entwicklungen, etwa in Österreich.
