Plenty of people whose games have been completely removed have relied on them, too.
It's not like they'd immediately lose all payment processors - in fact they seemingly didn't even really stand behind their stance that they're already doing a good enough job.

Was there a toxicology report? Was this reported to the police? Because if it's what actually happened that's, like, an attempted murder basically, and should be dealt with as such.

Yep, this blacklist specifically is just an extortion scheme, and people seem to eat it up... Not sure if it's still the case but IIRC of the big providers Microsoft used to rely on them, too.

You can't really talk about entry costs and look at the consistently most expensive fursuit maker.
And I'd argue it's not even a rising cost; people who want to try it out themselves have it easier now. Otherwise it's just supply and demand, and there has been a lot of demand nowadays.
