ODSTs vs Spartans: it’s a little harder to see, but the materials on the ODST thighs definitely appear “softer” than the main up armor plates. It looks like it’s got flexibility where it matters. Spartan armor though? Hard solid plates, a very rigid looking bodysuit, and the dreaded “space diaper”

ODSTs vs Spartans: it’s a little harder to see, but the materials on the ODST thighs definitely appear “softer” than the main up armor plates. It looks like it’s got flexibility where it matters. Spartan armor though? Hard solid plates, a very rigid looking bodysuit, and the dreaded “space diaper”
Meanwhile, you have the shoretrooper and rangetrooper. They’ve got clearly shown base clothing underneath the armor, specifically around the high movement areas. They’ve got less armor sure, but the spots that aren’t armored make sense for keeping your range of movement

Take Star Wars for example. There’s an undersuit on clone armor sure, but its form fitting and only shows at the joints. But when you move, your muscles expand and contract to do so, meaning a form fitting armor like this wouldn’t be practical.
