I don’t disagree with you but people very clearly don’t want Socialism because they’ve been conditioned into believing that it is bad so what choice do you have? If you stick steadfastly to your principles then you condemn us to years of right wing ideology. It needs to be nuanced sadly.

If you don’t acknowledge them and the impact they have in forming opinions in those who only look at politics casually then you’re doomed to be on the outside screaming your principles into the void. You need to ensure you have the opportunity to change things otherwise you’re a protest movement.

Agreed but I guarantee that if you come into office talking about growth and then immediately attempt wealth redistribution you will be crucified in the press and media. You would be labelled as Socialist or Communist and give the other side limitless ammunition. It’s a long game.
