Not fair. Wilhelm Reich the psychoanalyst thought jellyfish, whose being consisted of expansion (pleasure) and contraction (anxiety), were the models for the most basic functions of psycho-biological existence. (It gets sexual, real fast.)

Well, I'm thankful for the painting by the Black artist Henry Ossawa Tanner.

Patron saint of single women. Just saying.

Oh, please. 200 demonstrators here, 7,000 in La Capital (most of them Black Bloc provos)? I've seen more of a threat in a gathering against the cost of utilities in Queretaro.

Nice try, though, tools.

Thanks. It's Guillaume Guillon-Lethière, BTW. CEI: Born to a White father and a Black mother.
This painting is his own take on David's Brutus. G-L was frequenting D's studio at the time, when D. was working on the commission. There's a preparatory drawing attributed to David that's probably G-L's.

Ah, Menin. A year ago, when Halal vendors were being threatened & harassed in her district & mine I messaged her about it. No response, Next I know she's handing out flyers vaunting her fight against "antisemitism" [winkwink]. Now all of a sudden it's all about "our Muslim friends." Fuggedaboudit.

Interesting cover--whose painting? It reminds me of some of the initial drafts for J.-L. David's "Brutus" of 1789

Brilliant repartee. You must have been up all night.

Okay, you racist turd. You're flushed.

I never fail to be disgusted by this folksy (and extremely common) Eastern European anti-Semitism. Do you also beat your partner? Get drunk and participate in pogroms?

No Ilse Koch? That's so unfair.
November 11, 2025 at 12:52 PM
Well that's nice.
November 11, 2025 at 12:43 PM
Oh well. ' Bye.
November 10, 2025 at 10:30 PM
I know. You're welcome.

There's a common African American expression from the Civil Rights Movement that I would have loved to use here except I would probably have been banned for not respecting White mainstream cultural sensibilities:

"Like your sh*t don't smell."

It's a good sign when a movement that until then has been marginalized (like the Civil Rights Movement or the Palestinian movement now) attracts those types who behave as if they had some kind of moral authority over others. As if claiming moral superiority was a revolutionary act in itself.

I’ve heard of Jewish mothers but you take the cake. Blocked.

You omitted the best part. The score was by the great Hanns Eisler!

After looking at the block-by-block shifts in votes from the Primary to the General Election I feel confident that both crossover points on the graph (Mamdani vs. Cuomo) shifted to the left in the General Election.
Not by some force of History, mind you, but because of Mamdani's consistent effort.
