These days, I spend a lot more time into guitars and vocals, even keyboards and pads, before I feel it's ready for the rythmic sections to be introduced.

I haven't touched my drums yet, but... it's getting close!

For the first album, I was bringing in every core instrument (drums, bass, guitars, vocals) as fast as possible to make sure a song was "working", and then I would work on layers, additional guitars and instruments, and so on.
