I replaced the cell pack inside of an e-bike battery today.
I also investigated the old battery. Of the 50 '18650' cells, 4 were super dead, 1 was bloated, 11 were corroded, 21 were leaky, and 13 were actually usable. These sell individually for ~$11-$15. So potentially $140 in usable cells?

I removed my graphics card and linux mint is now stable. Which kinda makes sense. idk if Nvidia ever really fully supported the 660 on linux.
Or the problem could be the layer of dust coating the top, who knows.
Point is, I can now browse the web without being harassed by my operating system.

Web browser, youtube, printing, sound. All working.
I still need to connect to our windows network for file sharing. And make sure some of the old temperature logger software will work w/WINE emulation. But like- dang.

I tried linux mint last night. It looked cool but kept crashing.
There are some notes about kernel incompatibility with older Nvidia graphics cards.
So I'm gonna try rolling it back to 22.1 for the older kernel. Then maybe try the xfce version.

The bike wheel I straightened hasn't exploded yet. So I think I did a good job.
In other news, a few months ago I took some controls out of a broken dehumidifier. Last night I mounted the UI board next to the exhaust vent in our bathroom. I plan to make the vent fan automatically run when humid.

Ok, so I successfully tried a dating app for a few weeks. As much fun as it is to judge other people and swipe left or right, this has largely been a waste of time. I'm not getting any feedback at all. I don't know if the app is showing me to ANYbody. Bumble is a bust. So, what should I try instead?
