💙His Cold War era stuff is pretty nice, Red Storm Rising was a good read. I mean, as with anything Tom Clancy writes it's to be taken with a shovel of salt (because anticommunism) but we also get to see the Soviet being competent which was nice.

Also as already pointed out, a few month is a very short time to set up something with the reach of USAID; and China's foreign policy so far tends towards buying influence...

⚠️Since the EU side of things has already been tackled extensively, I feel compelled to add that "the Chinese economy is a bunch of smoke and mirrors" does not track at all with reality.
For one thing China wouldn't have that much of an influence without its role in the global supply chain.

😈Obsidian is an amazing tool. We made the switch a couple years ago, also for TTRPG notes and haven't thought of looking back since, it's way too useful.

😈They felt on very similar levels when I fought them, but both of them are really brutal, it's just a slight distinction in brutality I guess ^^
