This is my #1 choice if I ever get access to a Holodeck. Then you can also throw other monsters into buildings and stuff.

I disagree. Whoever programmed the replicated steak pattern would either have to do a lot of A B testing against real steaks, or would have to scan many steaks to get some kind of baseline ur-steak to riff on.
Replicated steak may not be from an animal but it is the product of animals.
