NYT is holding up better than most, but still being squeakily careful

A new book called “Mahavishnu Memories” is about the 1971-73 touring of the fusion group Mahavishnu Orchestra, opens with my friend Dan & I at the band’s opening shows. A tiny niche of international fans still inquires about our personal tapes of these shows, which appear to be the only recordings.

I noticed that unintended pun but decided you could handle it! I grew up in 1960’s and 70’s New York so Fillmore jazz clubs was our primary obsession as teenagers, along with sports of course. My wife worked for Springsteen in the 75-78 range, so lots of music on our radar always.

Wow I never had you pegged for a Stevie Ray Vaughan fan, nor a 70’s blues fan in general. I’m impressed and curious how you fell down that rabbit hole, which I assume is not that common in your age cohort.
