A geology class that turned out to be focused on vertebrate evolution. It had a wonderful lecturer who really made me want to engage with the content, and fantastic labs that had us examining bones hands-on. By the end I could identify all kinds of animals, and was just thinking about it today!

Every few years, when I show the picture on the right, a student will say something like, “My grandma has that chair on her porch.” 😂

On my first visit to Syracuse years ago, we couldn’t go inside due to the wedding of a VIP. I finally got to go in last summer. So freaking cool!

In college, I learned Catullus with it. Seems great for undergrad. In my high school classes, we do all the Ecce Romani poems, and if the class is super into it, we’ll read few more poems using Garrison. The notes tend to give them either too much or too little info, if that makes sense.

I was just telling my students about this. I’ve been by it a few times, but haven’t eaten there. Have you tried it?

My students thought this was so cool (I do too)! What is the round object in the background?

I seem to remember reading/hearing that Concord grapes were used in the original recipe. I’ve used regular supermarket white and red grapes. I enjoy them both!

Negroni is my go-to, but I also really like the Corpse Reviver #2, Last Word, and Enzoni

It looks sturdy enough for tools. And now I’m noticing his ring…I’m fascinated by this fresco!

Ah, I do see now that it’s a pack of some sort. Thank you. His case is fabulous!

What is behind the man’s head? I’d expect maybe a petasus, but I don’t think that’s it?

Chartreuse hasn’t been on a local shelf for years. I’ve been using Genepy as a green stand-in and it’s okay…do you have a recommendation for a yellow substitute?

Cool…now on a mission to find some!
