Not the same!

I just purchased a new Synology with enough storage to accept my full archive on google drive.  There are plenty of open source solutions to replicate all the things I use google for.  I will miss my cloud backups.  But I will not miss this experience.

Oh, and you can only request this every 90 days, no sooner.  Oh, and you can be denied.  Their love is coming with so many conditions.

So then I went down the route of "how can I fix this with money".  Would you believe there is literally no option via google for this?  Want unlimited*?  Sure, buy the Enterprise plan, have a minimum of 5 users (all paid for) and then request to increase your base storage to the size you need.

Considering I worked very hard for the past year to move all my photos from my gmail account to my workspace account, I feel a little disenchanted.

For the past year plus now I have been building my workflow around this premise. I think it is an understatement to say I am upset. Upset enough that I am now going to migrate all of my storage off of Google, at least as much as I can.
