Medicaid cuts and insurance red tape are putting kids’ lives at risk. Victoria’s son has gone days without his seizure meds because of new “refill delay” rules — even though his doctor and pharmacy approved them. Families shouldn’t have to beg to keep their children alive.

Historian Rutger Bregman is a well-respected proponent of a universal basic income. The Guardian has called him “the Dutch wunderkind of new ideas.”

The BBC invited Bregman to give this year’s Reith Lecture series.

Before airing, the BBC removed one sentence from his lecture, “A Time of Monsters.”

Democrats made a video urging members of the military to not follow illegal orders. And Trump demands these Democrats be arrested. 3 thoughts: Trump is the world’s biggest crybaby, Trump does not believe in free speech, Trump is planning on issuing illegal orders to the military.

When I was pregnant, I tried to eat well, stay healthy & protect myself from undue stress because the baby could be affected.

For this reason, ICE had a long time policy not to detain pregnant people.

But now they are detaining them, brutalizing them & denying medical attention.

I regret that I didn’t always appreciate President Obama while he was POTUS. Hind sight is 20/20.
Hello, New Jersey! There’s a lot at stake in this election, and I’m here tonight to talk about why @mikiesherrill.bsky.social should be your next Governor. Watch live:

The average US taxpayer spends $36 a year on SNAP

You know what they spend on corporate subsidies? $670

Poor and disabled people who need food are not the problem

If you’re angry about “your money” feeding people but not angry it’s giving tax cuts to the wealthy?

You’re doing their dirty work.

Just a thought: How about we stop shaming the poor for buying things that may not be essential, and start shaming the rich for making a profit off things that are essential?
