I think that this is more than a question of technology; a strong argument could be made that Rails isn't even the best technological framework, but because it is the most popular it has become the default. Inertia is a powerful force to overcome

I suppose then we should ask ourselves, what would make a framework viable as an alternative to Rails?

I know of a member of the Boulder Ruby community who is a strong proponent of hanami, though I haven't worked with it yet.
