Could it be because NZ first now courts the Trumpist death cult that wants the elderly to die from contageons?

On his own terms, I'm not sure what the moral case against someone putting this guy into a cage in their back yard is.

Just noting that the Washington Post is owned by one of the people standing next to Musk on inauguration day. We should assume anything from there will be self-serving lies. www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/202...

Threats to a preacher who requested Christian mercy, a reporter fired for (accurately) describing Elon Musk as a Nazi. Never take any right winger seriously when they talk about free speech. It is just a rhetorical weapon. They will put the jackboots on as soon as they feel they can.

Things are not going to get any better until everyone fully realizes that *everything* the GOP does and says is in pure bad faith, and that they’re *enjoying* causing pain.

And because they want to steal it all. There is nothing else.

To the Democrats in office, if you want to understand why people are criticising statements saying you will work with Trump where you can make progress on things, underlying it is that fact that the governing project only involves hurting the people you are supposed to be helping...
January 22, 2025 at 7:01 AM
...people protecting their own political rights from a usurper. And they have waged war against these fictions and the people they claim are wielding them. And they mean to hurt people who just want social and economic progress.
January 22, 2025 at 6:56 AM
They do not intend to govern. They intend to wage war against enemies. These enemies are innocent. They have created a whole set of falsehoods they then ascribe to their enemies - trans people, people using their free speech to argue for their rights...

Second, they intend to use their power to steal things and give vent to all the stupidity they have built up. These are primarily criminals, and gangsters. They are the worst among us.
January 22, 2025 at 6:47 AM
There are two main things that the first couple of days of America's fascist regime tells us. First, they intend to hurt us, by which I mean people who want a normal political system through which to solve problems and move society forward.
January 22, 2025 at 6:41 AM
Everything the right says is a weapon deployed to consolidate power. They should never be treated as if they are being sincere. Their goal is to impose an intolerant society and take rights away from anyone they don't think deserves them.
January 15, 2025 at 9:47 PM
The problem is that it isn't just trolling, because it is the appalling shits that have seized power now and have every intention of imposing their excrement on us all, through social bullying. Anyone not in the in-group will be drummed out of public spaces eventually, while they steal everything.
January 15, 2025 at 9:28 PM
They are not. They are simply expressing identity, signaling that they are appalling shits and other appalling shits should come and admire their excrement.

These governors didn't just send messages that vaccines (and masking) were not to be trusted, they actively intervened to ensure local authorities could not take needed public health measures either. Death cult.
January 14, 2025 at 7:44 AM
US state governors like DeSantis, Noem and Abbott ensured that as many of their citizens got sick as possible, rather than support what normie libs wanted. By opening space for vaccine conspiracists they may have helped to usher in a future where kids die in high numbers once again.

This from the Guardian. No, it is perfectly practicable. He resigns, and the next in line does the job.

Banana republic.
January 10, 2025 at 7:12 PM
Voters in the US knew when they voted that Trump was to be sentenced in respect to 34 felony convictions. He should have received the punishment anyone committing fraud involving $130K would get, and if that is jail, there is a succession order that would take effect upon his necessary resignation.

If platform owners have their platforms set up in a way that results in terrorism and (in facebook's case) genocide, they should face criminal consequences in the same way an architect's right to free expression stops when their building collapses and the occupants die.
January 9, 2025 at 8:08 PM
The issue with platforms is that there is an established history of radicalisation leading to terrorism. This isn't a free speech issue, it is a propaganda and lies issue, and in particular it is an algorithm issue.
January 9, 2025 at 8:06 PM
This is what happens when you mainstream 4Chan, which has radicalised racist shooters. Musk has, like a complete chump, swallowed the lies of the radical right about the so-called "great replacement"
January 9, 2025 at 8:01 PM
Musk is completely stewing in fascist bullshit and actually believes white people, or "Western Civilization" is under threat, which is something only complete cretins and the Christchurch shooter thinks.
