At one point in my life (long ago) I was responsible for the Motorola corporate 68k assembler. By the time they got to the 68030 the addressing modes were insane. Instructions could be 22 bytes long.

The real insanity of this is that "rare earths" are really not that rare. It is that processing them is expensive and creates a large amount of toxic by products. China was willing to pay those environmental while the US was not.

Just wait until he put tariffs on Taiwan. He thinks we can ramp US chip production in a few months.... The most recent fab being built by TSMC in the US is taking 6 years and 65 Billion dollars.
