Exactly, so many factors come into play. Over-extraction, hard water, temperature instability, and a bad grinder can all turn good coffee roast into caffeinated poop water lol.

This. I used to hate coffee for the majority of my life and now I own an espresso machine and couple grinders and make some of the best tasting coffee I’ve ever experienced.

The trick is to have a cup of coffee at home while getting ready and then going out to get another!
