Why is this not the photo of William James used in every intro psych textbook?

I usually post posters *before* I present them but I forgot. Presented at SANS 2025.

Examining the effects of continuous ratings on neural activity during video fMRI, we found differences in attention, control, and default mode networks, but no differences in memory or character assessments.

Angela Davis didn't receive her PhD because the FBI confiscated all of her paper manuscripts in 1970 before dissertating. Kyle Duyck is no Angela Davis.

Why am I having to use the Wayback Machine just to find a regular F32 funding announcement? This is insane.

It's wild we're in the timeline where fascists are taking over independent non-profits in this sweet baby's name

Last times the S&P500 lost this much value in a month were March 2020, Oct. 2008, Sept. 2002, Aug. 1998, and Oct. 1987.

Each of those other times, world markets as a whole recessed. This time, world markets appear largely unaffected. I'm no economist but it doesn't look great for US hegemony.

The near-irony of this excerpt gave me a good laugh, though, (trusting the conclusions of those in your discipline more than those outside of it) in the context of the paper.

Not a new paper, but I just came across it and it's interesting that they more or less replicated real world class counsciousness among wealthy, but not poor, participants in an experimental setting. Quite a bummer. www.jstor.org/stable/27866...

I don't think so. It only absorbs information that would be stored in the RIS or CLS and Zotero stores tags and notes elsewhere I think.

I just tried it. The note stored in the RIS file came through, but the tag I added through the Zotero GUI didn't show up.
