Overhead view of the cat stadium party platter…it’s just like being there!! It’s all the food she hates, I accidentally bought pâté, which she won’t touch…that’s the field…I bought some 9 lives senior stuff and she just sniffs that and walks away ( that’s the crowd, along with some meow mix, which she can’t really chew anymore) the neighborhood cats will love it ..

Enlarging 3D printed models. I am imagining the structure of our physical universe just above the Planck scale, where quantum forces overcome the force of gravity. If you are exploring the fundamental structure of three dimensional form, this is the place to be!
The photo shows identical soft cell units assembled into a lattice structure. The shape seems to have the same qualities as a truncated octahedron, It won’t dense pack as efficient as the Kelvin or Weaire-Phelan structures because the deformation of the faces increases the surface area of the individual units and makes the ratio of the volume of the object to the edge length less efficient. But it looks pretty and I’m working on filling in the holes now .

This is a large-ish 3D printed lamp. The pattern is rooted in the symmetry of an icosahedron. You can see swirly, wavy woven patterns of dark and light embedded on a somewhat spherical form. This a a wholly insufficient description but just let your mind wander, it will be ok

Memorial bench created for a former art student who has passed…The image on the back is an interpretation of one of her pieces (painter/printmaker) it was cut from 1/4” aluminum with a laser…soon to be installed on campus

The image shows a backlit bench, fabricated to look somewhat like a large painting on an easel. The image is the work of a former student who has passed. The image appears to be an old Victrola record player with a large horn speaker with flowers and vines coming out of it. The image is cut like a stencil and was cut from 1/4” aluminum using a laser. The bench is photographed in the foundry and is waiting to be installed on campus .
