I think it's important for everyone to stay vigilant about it and understand the process.
Sure it would be massively difficult to cancel or curtail elections outright.

I think it's understandable that folks are being hyper vigilant about this, given everything else. Much appreciate the deep explanations, I'm gonna file it under "unlikely but I'll keep an eye on it".

My read was that vampirism was a metaphor for colonialism/ cultural appropriation and assimilation (into white American culture, granted) that's why it's important that Remmick is Irish since they were also victims of colonialism.

The only other one I've tried in this category is The World Before Us, but that focuses more on early human evolution. Very cool but not what I was looking for.

Is there a better overview of human history for a general audience?
I started reading Dawn of Everything but didn't have enough pre-history knowledge, so I read Sapiens first and it helped before moving on to the more academic stuff
