Slightly less hot take. Officers shouldn't be either. The majority of the faces we see should be from enlisted service members. Proportionally at least.

I don't feel welcome because my closest friends in the church have left. I don't feel like I can make connections. I don't want my children to feel left out.

I don't feel welcome because I don't identify with 70% of the church members politically. I don't feel welcome because I've typically been on the lower income bracket of a congregation.

There are spiritual experiences I can not deny experiencing. Moments that will stay with me forever. They haven't led to a surety of knowledge. Just hope. A desire to do the right thing. Some conviction to help those around me.

Maybe that is all Faith is.

The more senses a hobby occupies the better. And do things you're bad it. That's ok. Do it bad and eventually you'll do it good.

I hate his stance on LGBTQ issues. But he stood up and said racism is real in conference, a month later said black lives matter, then a conference later said you can be a good standing member in any political party. So I have mixed emotions and limited optimism.

Not attending regularly member. Not removing my records. Complex relationship with church.

But most Mormons aren't on X. And most are moderate. But there is a pretty hard conservative portion of the faith. Enough that some are on the board of TPUSA and greenlit this podcast.

The relationship between the LDS community and conservativism needs to be recognized for what it is. A useful patsy voting bloc. That's it.
