That is a bit too simplistic of a view. Provider costs these days are basically an entire corporate structure of their own and then we add in the entire corporate structure of the insurer that also needs to be paid for. Not to mention the shareholders.

Just got one employer’s open enrollment package. Family coverage ranges from $2500-$3000 per month on an annual salary well under 100k. This is utterly unsustainable.
