Artificial Intelligence will not create this kind of stuff. As it defies the general expectations of what #ceramics should look like

This drawing is about 20 years old now. And I am going to work with it as an inspiration as part of an ongoing project of "collaboration with myself" where I either alter or respond to drawings and other expressions I created when I was younger and a different person making art.

And I also wrote something about the experience of creativity in a commercial space and in a free art context (I hope these links work. As they do not look like they might be)

Some of the objects from the last firing are quite insane. This little vase for instance. I love the complexity of layers. Fired three times at various temperatures in various environments. #ceramics #art

A bit tough to take pictures of this one. But I am very happy with it. It’s stoneware with soda firing and also glazed inside. A bit against the rules. But I love it. #ceramics

Fired three times at very different temperatures and in very different environments. So excited to have created this little gem of an object. Bad photos sorry #ceramics #stoneware #lisbon

Found these (and a few more) drawings at the studio. They are mail art pieces from 2023. When someone buys them, they are sent to them folded via regular mail from the Ajuda post office in Lisbon. Earlier ones went out from London. Oh, they’re in my shop. #art #drawing #contemporaryart

Creating objects that early humans might have loved to pull out of the ashes of their fires. AI might have a difficult time ever replicating this. Too much chaos and natural wilderness involved. #art #ceramics
