To be less vague people brought up things they hated abt awakening and like. Man I loved awakening. And yeah my first instinct is to feel defensive but if I had clung onto that defensiveness I wouldn’t have grown in the way I interpreted the game, which is silly and not that important but. I just actually don’t think there’s a single other place where I could say “edelclaude makes me uncomfortable bcuz I feel like she’s dismissive of his background” without getting jumped, let alone actually be taken seriously & supported (whether or not they leave the conversation agreeing longterm)

Like I was able to learn so much about other peoples opinions too without me taking it as a dig at one of my favorite games. Like I can acknowledge the flaws in a game I love without throwing a tantrum.

YES and I think it’s entirely purposeful because they have the same crest and iirc CF deliberately draws that parallel. Their rivalry is so exciting to me because they are two sides of the same coin (wait you just said that lol but 100% agree.)

My interpretation is she and Rhea both feel they want to take the noble path / do things the right way, but the less control they have and the more desperate they are in achieving their goal, the more they sacrifice
