It snowed on us this morning! Too warm to stick, but it was fun! Got an epic chocolate croissant and baguette from the campground cafe.

Again, unbelievable views of mountains, lakes, and forests. the two gas stations we passed were both closed, so we were very grateful for the Jerry cans on our roof full of gas just in case! We made it to an open station with a quarter tank.

We all grabbed showers before we hit the road. Folded Mountain was quite a sight— you can see where the sedimentary rock was pushed up and folded over on itself, creating wavy lines of rock. We just finished Earth Science this year, so it was a great tie-in!

British Columbia has definitely given us spectacular views. The mountains here were once likely as tall as the Himalayas, but have eroded for the past 45 million years. Also saw a ton of bison and several bears.

We did our usual Tim Horton’s stop at my request 🤣. The kids got me some hand towels I had been admiring at a store back in Saskatchewan, and John surprised me with a Metric shirt that was out of stock when we looked 😍

We found out the holding tank on the camper was full despite the dealership saying they were all empty. 🤦🏻♀️ We dumped it and reset our gas mileage avg to see if it made a difference (it didn’t).
Stopped by Tim Horton’s again, we are going to miss it. Best toasted coconut donut ever!

Unfortunately, our new 5 gallon water bladder leaked all over the floor (had a pinhole in the back). Once that was cleaned up, we started packing up. As we were boondocking, we were using a waste bag… which also had a hole. 🤢 Luckily, Campbell spotted it before it was a nastier mess.

On our way out of town, we stopped at a local coffee shop and got delicious treats and coffee. It was another windy day, our faces feel a bit windburned and the kids hands are red from too much cheap gas station soap. Starting a new routine of lotioning at each stop!

While packing up this morning, we met a couple from Alaska originally but who have lived in TN for years. They were heading back up to AK for a visit, their first time with a camper in tow. They were very nice and had great suggestions for us. Hoping we might see them again later!

Today it took a long time to break down since we all needed to hit the showers and flush (not just dump) the tanks. When we got in the car, the tire pressure alarm went off. Turns out we had a nail in a tire… again. Before we left, we had two tires with nails (only one was reparable).

Campbell woke up before the alarm, and John ran out for gas and a local breakfast while we were in a town big enough for a breakfast place. Weirdly, they warmed up whole bagels and threw them in a bag with little cups of cream cheese. A bagel hobby kit— just what we want in the car! 🤣

We saw the biggest bunny ever! Seek identified it as an Eastern Cottontail, but clearly it was the Hulk version. We were able to breakdown quickly, maybe because we only had electric hookups. On the drive, we saw at least 4 bald eagles! We crossed the Mississippi River into Minnesota.

Beautiful drive Saturday, slightly warmer and sunny. Looks like we have gone back in time a few months, there are a few small signs of spring, while spring has sprung in full at home. We saw a muskrat and possibly a pine marten (John couldn’t see the face, it moved too quickly).
