Some good news: for the last four years, I have been quietly working on a new book titled *For the Long Haul: How to Stay in the Fight for a Better World*. I have signed a contract with @akpress.org and they will be co-publishing the book with @btlbooks.com. The book will be out next fall!

I highly recommend @benlorber8.bsky.social's "What Antisemitism Is, What It Isn’t, and Why It Matters" series in @convergencemag.com. Lorber offers a really grounded and accessible framework for understanding antisemitism.
For @convergencemag.com I wrote a two-part guide for progressives on how to understand antisemitism and its weaponization, and how to fight it with solidarity

Part 1 breaks down how antisemitism is used as a tool by the 1% and a fuel for White Christian supremacy -- yesterday and today
What Antisemitism Is, What It Isn’t, and Why It Matters: Part 1
Antisemitism has always been deeply interwoven with other types of social domination. It is both a form of bigotry and scapegoating against Jews, and a conspiracy theory that today is stitched into…

Do yourself a favor and read this excellent wide-ranging interview with the activist-scholar Cathy Cohen!
“We have to be building political homes while also doing the door-knocking and organizing that builds power and changes lives. The duality of that work can be hard to hold.”

I've often argued that radical organizing can happen not only in workplaces and neighborhoods, but also in all of the other sites in which people congregate. This is an inspiring account, from members of @getfree-mvmt.bsky.social, of people organizing through fandom!

Earlier this year, incarcerated firefighters in LA rushed headlong into the flames, fending off catastrophic fires (made worse by climate change).

In their new essay, Abby Cunniff reminds us of the long history of their labor abolitionist politics.
