Your workflow should also act as an insurance policy.

It starts with client due diligence. Is this a good client to work with or are there red flags? Statement of work. Is everyone on the same page about what work is to be done?

These are just a few suggestions to ensure your projects run better.

Clients ghosting doesn't mean you can't get paid. We can figure out next steps. This may be:

* credit control
* debt recovery through your legal expenses insurance
* small claims court

With this customer we used a combination of these methods which resulted in 82% of their invoice being paid.

This customer couldn’t believe how quickly their claim was sorted. Some tips for getting yours paid quickly:

- have proof of purchase
- if accidental damage get a repair estimate
- provide your policy ref + phone number to verify your details quicker
- for theft claims have a crime reference number

Here’s a policy feature I think every photographer should know about.

Damaged hard drive? Corrupt SD card? The insurer can pay a data recovery company to restore data.

This is one of our most used features. These contents claims can be several thousand pounds, making this one of my fave features!
