A misty, damp morning walk with the spaniel.

He still hasn't fully grasped the rules of catch. Namely, you have to release the stick so it can be thrown again. On the rare times he does this, he chews it up and leaves a sliver of wood, which he expects me to throw...

There was something a bit different than the usual rowing VIIIs on the River Cam this afternoon!

Today is the annual Dragon Boat Festival, which raises money for Addenbrooke's Charitable Trust.
4 dragon boats move off from the start line. Each boat has 10 paddlers, a person guiding the rudder at the stern and someone beating time on a drum at the bow. The prows each have a colourful dragon head. On the far bank is a tent with the starter in it. The four dragon boats moving down the course, about to pass the blue tents on the bank. Boat 7 is at the back. In the far distance, the four dragon boats approach the finish line. A way behind them is an orange safety launch. Blue and white tents line the far bank.
