I saw that Max had a new anime and was curious to maybe watch it later and I usually prefer to watch anime dubbed, but I'm guessing this means I probably shouldn't?

I like Rtwp on the easier difficulties cause it lets me keep up the action pace while still being strategic, but once I get to the higher difficulties it's just a bit overwhelming for me and I'd rather have the option to consider my turn rather than micromanage real time.

Only Deadfire has the two options. Pillars 1 only has real time with pause.

You definitely should! Not only are they great games in their own right, but Avowed is in conversation with both the lore and themes of the Pillars games in a way that enhances both of them.

Honestly, the Pillars pantheon as a whole is arguably one of the best, if not the best, pantheons in all of fantasy. They are archetypal like any pantheon is but it's done in such a unique way and they are given character in a way few gods in media are.

Absolutely, lol. He does have his own issues too, though. He gets a bit too "the ends justify the means" sometimes. But he's kind of alright compared to the other Gods so he has that going for him, lol

I love how this whole aspect of Skaen shows itself in exactly how he encouraged rebellion/vengeance in his worshippers. Every plan harms/kills the master, but it also basically destroys the slave, either figuratively or literally. No Skaen-inspired plan actually leads to improvement in the slaves

I mean...there is an archmage in the Forgotten Sanctum DLC for Deadfire that does get their corpse taken over by magical mushrooms, lol. But that's basically a "mushroom maura is an outlier and should not have been counted" situations 🤣

The Living Lands is its own unique thing, but if you are down with Isometric RPGs, the greater world of Eora (which Avowed is set in) is just as unique and beautiful if you give Pillars of Eternity 1 and 2 a chance.

Not at all, haha. The mushrooms are pretty much an Avowed specific thing. I mean, there are a few mushroom enemies and mushrooms as ingredients here or there, but only in a few places.

Alpha Protocol was one of my favorite games as a teen. It combined perfectly so many of the things I was into at the time. Didn't even realize it was an Obsidian game until like a decade after I played it.

My favorite is also Absolute Wonder Woman in a general sense, but holy shit is Absolute Superman impactful. There has always been an element of fighting for the working class in Superman, of course, but this one is so in your face and I love it.

Batman has yet to fully grow on me yet (though I love his dynamic with the 'villain' friend group) but Absolute Superman and Absolute Wonder Woman have blown me out of the water!

Absolutely Top Tier change. One should always aspire to be like Superman but I don't think the feeling that "maybe I could actually achieve that" has ever hit like with this run. And that's honestly something we really need as a society right about now.

Not only that, but the fastball special is already in the game. We just need it's original co-creator!

Colossus and Red Guardian would be so dope!

I almost never main healers in any game, but Cloak & Daggers kit is so fun I just had to. I think a big part of it is that healing just feels like part of the mix rather than some seperate thing where it's like "oh, I have to focus on heal now" which a lot of other games do.
