Witchy Heresy

Christian witch, ordained pastor, nurse, author, avid reader of romance
Time outside, hockey games with family, reading (usually romance to be completely honest), making time for friends, writing (also romance most of the time). I'm also going to start volunteering at one of our local free clinics as an intake nurse. Anything to remember that there IS good in the world.

Making space for honest gratitude. If we keep looking for all the bad, it's all we find - and it's easy to find. But looking for the places of deep gratitude, that takes more effort but provides a counterbalance.

Do you like the Sinister Affirmations cards? I've considered getting them because they just seem to resonate with me. 😂

Seems like this should be obvious. And yet, here we are. Not recognizing God as Mother has caused extraordinary harm not just for women, but for everyone. And it goes beyond that to ignoring or downplaying the role of prominent women like Deborah, Sisera, Ruth, and others.

For me, writing, sigil creation, anything dealing with smoke/fire, singing/music/chants, runic work, and working outside, even with mundane tasks when outside because it makes them magical to me, or my magic makes them better?

No worries. I really thought I had missed something. For my mental health I don't read a ton of news, so I do sometimes miss larger things for a week or more. 😅

Ah. Well that makes sense. I do have at least one old classmate that I shake my head at and wonder about. I just thought they were minority, but maybe not, sadly.

For me, making time to get in nature. Because it's so hot the beach is my current go to. But typically my backyard works fine. I also try to do something that honors what I am passionate about. Making time to write or play my instrument. Then the more traditional meditation, prayer type activities.

Wait, what? Millennial here and all of this is abhorrent and friends my age are of the same mind (not supportive of any of this). I've not been aware that my gen was wholesale crazy. I mean, most of us are over or near 40, so certainly not got the blindness of youth going on. Did I miss something?

Dr. MLK Jr. said "The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends toward justice." That is the lens I use for this spread. He had chances for generosity in the past. Present...there's no doubt he's enthusiastic and passionate...😒. Future well, unstable. How it will ultimately play out who knows.
