I am feeling overwhelmed tonight and the most unsafe I have for a while. I am seeing conservatives wanting to "go to war" with liberals, wanting us declared a terrorist, etc and it makes it really hard not to fear for our safety when everything feels like a bad rerun of how Hitler rose to power.

Calls with my parents are the most draining thing I experience. They make me feel like I exist to simply validate their emotions and that I'm only the way I am (lgbt and liberal) because I'm "ignorant" to the facts and want attention.

I've said it once and I'll say it again: The power of the president is not absolute. The president is not above the law and their word is not law. The judicial system is allowed to block unconstitutional acts from congress and the president. We do not bow to dictators or monarchs.
