Tis the Midsummer's day today.
Might take a walk in nature, might do some journaling, might set my intentions and welcome in all the abundance I will happily accept and deserve.
Whether it's a thing for you or not, I hope today brings joy and warmth into your life.
December 20, 2025 at 9:56 PM
Have you hydrated enough today?
Had your meds?
Relaxed your jaw?

Do something nice for yourself this weekend, it will make me happy.
And make someone smile by telling them how awesome you think they are.

You've got this.

Luv you.

Look For The Joy - New Blog Post up

https://jaidedee.com/look-for-the-joy/
Look For The Joy
Look for the joy. There is a saying by Mr Rogers that in times of trouble to look for the helpers. I think in times of chaos and overwhelm we need to look for the joy. Around Aotearoa, New Zealand, we created that joy yesterday. Around 200 strangers and online friends took on the task of being Secret Santas for each other and absolutely nailed it. The #SecretSantaAoNZ hashtag on Bluesky and Mastodon was bursting with care, love, and the purest of joy. It was nothing less than magical. Some might know this from the days of Twitter. It has had a few lives now, and we successfully brought it to life again in a new home. This was my second time as one of the volunteer elves bringing this magic to life, and knowing that I had a hand in bringing so many people joy is such a good feeling. As the day wound down and we all discussed how wonderful it had been seeing the timelines overflowing with joy, love, camaraderie, and the most amazing handcrafted presents, we talked about how we wished every day could be like this. The trick to this is that for us to see more joy, we have to be that joy. We have to lean into it. We have to find the joy in our daily lives and share it, from the small things like a pretty flower, a happy pet, a soul warming hot drink, to the bigger moments shared with the people around us, the gratitude thoughts, we need to express them. It is very easy in this current hellscape to lean into only focusing on the things that need to be changed, that need to be fought, but we need to lean into the things worth fighting for. We need to celebrate the wins, the joys, the happiness. We need to celebrate other people’s as well. Flood timelines with supportive replies, raise each other up. Leaning into the negative is all too easy, but supplying the joy often takes more effort, and sometimes even a change in mindset. Look for the joy, and if you can’t find it, then make it. I have been trying to do this in 2025. I’ve said it before; I am not a social justice warrior, I am a bard. I am here to improve morale, provide magical inspiration, and create. And sometimes being a charismatic weirdo as a distraction. I am here to lift the tone and spark the joy in the hopes it takes and runs through the party like wildfire. Joy is important. It is needed. You only need to look at the SecretSantaAoNZ hashtag to see and feel what a difference joy makes and how contagious it can be. Secret Santa isn’t something we can sustainably do every day, but there are plenty of ways we can bring joy to ourselves and to others each day. It will take effort, and it will take commitment. Some days it will be hard. Some days it will come easy. It is equally important on both of those days. So, will you step up and fight for joy? Will you start with a small act or post today that will make you smile? That will make someone else smile? These small acts matter, and the sooner you start, the sooner the joy can start to spread. Imagine all the things we can change and achieve if we are acting with joy in our hearts. Look for the joy. Be the joy. (And if you have access to Bluesky or Mastodon, check out the hashtag and enjoy the day we created yesterday. It’s a lot of work to bring this to life but it’s amazing to be a major part of it existing still. It made me so happy to see so many others happy. There is an absolute power in the Secret Santa when it comes from such a place caring. The power of giving, but more than that, the power comes in people being seen. A stranger has taken the time to get to know them, to SEE who they are, and figure out what will make them feel happy and loved. And to my own Santa, thank you for seeing me, for caring, and for giving your time to make me feel loved. You are magic and I wish you the best of everything.) ### Share this: * Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky * Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads * Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest * Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon * Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr * Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email * Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook * Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X * Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp * * * * ### Discover more from Jaide Dee Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email. Not to interrupt or anything but

Have you had enough water today?
Have you had your meds?
Have you grinned like a gremlin because you remembered you're fabulous?

There's still time.

Luv you

Gentle reminder that it's okay to log off social media if you need to. It's okay to mute words. It's okay to have autoplay off on videos.
Please keep yourself safe, especially on days like this.

The End of Year Energy

https://jaidedee.com/the-end-of-year-energy/
The End of Year Energy
It’s the end of the year, that time when we look back at the year that has passed and look to the year that’s coming. That’s very normal. But this year feels different. The energy is distinct. Have you felt it? Looking back at this year feels like looking back at the last few years, a group of years that have been entangled together and now that cycle is coming to a close. It’s been a rough time, and an opportunity to look at ourselves and our lives, to work out what stays and what goes. It’s been a time of loss in so many ways and a time to heal. A time to realise what we have lost were things that no longer served us. Be it people, places, jobs, habits, or patterns. I saw a video last night; it talked about what next year could bring but only if you had done the work to shed what no longer served you, faced your shadow self and found acceptance, and put in the work to rebuild. And I feel that. This very much feels like what I have been going through. Next year will be amazing, because the work has been done to allow it to be amazing. I have shed a lot from my life in recent years, and perimenopause fulling blooming in 2025 has helped push the transformation forward further. The biggest lesson has been learning that my energy is precious, and I actually decide where I spend it and use it. Not everything deserves my attention, not everyone deserves my energy. I deserve to be in spaces that fill my cup even as I fill others. I feel ready to conjure my path through 2026 and the amazing opportunities that will come to me. I am ready to accept myself and know that I am already worthy; I am already powerful. This year is ending, and I will happily leave what I have shed behind. The new year is coming, and I am ready to ride this energy into my future. Are you ready to move forward too? ### Share this: * Click to share on Bluesky (Opens in new window) Bluesky * Click to share on Threads (Opens in new window) Threads * Click to share on Pinterest (Opens in new window) Pinterest * Click to share on Mastodon (Opens in new window) Mastodon * Click to share on Tumblr (Opens in new window) Tumblr * Click to email a link to a friend (Opens in new window) Email * Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) Facebook * Click to share on X (Opens in new window) X * Click to share on WhatsApp (Opens in new window) WhatsApp * * * * ### Discover more from Jaide Dee Subscribe to get the latest posts sent to your email. Today is a great day to do something nice for someone, and that someone could be you.
December 4, 2025 at 11:38 PM
Quick question

Have you hydrated?
Have you paused today and just breathed?
Is there washing in the machine?
Do you need to reboil the jug for that drink you wanted?
Have you remembered you're awesome and worthy?

Better get on with it, huh?

Luv you! 💜
December 3, 2025 at 10:17 PM
You deserve kindness.
You deserve softness.
You deserve a break from being strong.
You deserve to love yourself.
Unclench that jaw.
Hydrate.
Take a break from the internet.
Look at the sky.
Smile.
You're doing great.

Luv you 💜😘

A new question for today #SecretSantaAoNZ
This one might require a few replies to answer, at least for me.

Time to straighten that back and drop your shoulders. Get that drink you were thinking about an hour ago.
Put on a fun song and get your groove on.
Smile and giggle like a gremlin, make them wonder just what you are doing.
You've got this. You matter. I'm proud of you.

Luv you!

Relax your jaw and drop your shoulders
Take some deep breaths
Giggle wildly
Touch grass
Smile at the sky
Drink some water
You're doing great, and I'm proud of you.
