Hello Bluesky community. I am a historian of Sixteenth-Century Ireland and England, focusing on religious and cultural conflict in Ireland, the Reformations and the European Witch-hunts. I earned my Ph.D. from UT Austin in 2018.
Fall semester has come to an end and all that remains is grading. This semester was strange, though. I don't feel like I quite connected with my students like I have in previous semesters/school years, and that feels off - like I didn't do quite right by them, and that bothers me.

Having spent the last 6 years as an adjunct, teaching primarily US History survey courses, getting to attend the NACBS conference in Denver this month was positively reinvigorating. Thank you to all of the brilliant scholars who presented at the conference!
